Set up pricing options and early-bird pricing
Pricing options give you full control over who pays what without creating separate classes for the same event. One class, multiple prices — a general admission rate, a lower member rate, an early-bird price that expires automatically. Attendees see all visible options at checkout and pick the one that applies to them.
Add pricing options to a class
- Open the class from your dashboard and click Edit.
- Scroll to the Pricing section. By default there's one price. Click Add pricing option to add a second.
- Give each option a name attendees will see at checkout (for example, "General admission", "Member rate", or "Early bird — ends Friday").
- Set the price for each option. Options can be any amount, including free.
- Optionally set a maximum quantity for a specific option — useful for capping early-bird spots. Once the limit is reached, that option disappears from checkout.
- Save. At checkout, attendees choose the option that applies to them before completing payment.
Set an early-bird option with an automatic end date
- Add a pricing option as described above and name it clearly (for example, "Early bird — book by Friday").
- Set the Availability end date to the day you want the offer to expire.
- Save. The early-bird option automatically disappears from checkout after that date — no manual changes needed.
Hide an option from the public
- Add the pricing option as normal and toggle Visible to: Members only or Hidden.
- Hidden options are only accessible via a direct link you share privately — useful for offering a special rate to a specific group without advertising it publicly.
- Copy the private checkout link from the option's settings and share it with whoever should see that rate.
Pricing strategies that work
- An early-bird option ending 48–72 hours before the class creates urgency and helps you confirm attendance numbers early.
- A "Pay what you can" option with a suggested minimum makes your classes accessible without giving away full seats.
- Member or subscriber rates reward loyalty and give people a reason to commit to your community rather than drop in casually.
- Capping early-bird spots at 20–30% of capacity keeps full-price revenue healthy while still rewarding fast movers.
