For Attendees
Not at all! Most classes are designed for beginners. Your instructor will guide you through every step. If a class requires prior experience, it'll be clearly noted in the description.
It depends on the class! Some instructors provide all the supplies and materials, while others ask you to bring a few things of your own. Check the class description for what's included and what to bring, and keep an eye out for your reminder email — your instructor will share any specific details there. When in doubt, comfortable clothes are always a good idea.
Classes are more fun with friends! Guest policies vary by class and instructor, and everyone attending will usually need their own ticket. Check the class description for details, and reach out to the instructor if you're unsure — some offer group discounts, so it's worth asking!
Each instructor sets their own cancellation policy, which you'll find on the class page before you book. Some instructors offer a cash refund, some offer a class credit you can spend on a future class, and some offer both — it's up to them. To cancel or ask about your options, reach out to the instructor directly through your order confirmation or your attendee portal.
You'll automatically get an email and SMS as soon as your instructor makes the change, with one-tap links to confirm the new time or request a refund or class credit. Reminder messages and synced calendar events are updated for you.
Read the full guide: Cancel or reschedule a classIt varies by class! Most classes let you take home your creations. Check the class description for specific details about what you'll make and take home.
Many classes welcome kids! Look for the age recommendation in the class description. Some instructors offer special kids-only or family-friendly classes. When in doubt, message the instructor to ask.
The attendee portal is your personal hub for everything related to your bookings. Once you open a link from your confirmation or reminder email you can: view your full class history and download receipts for any booking; request to reschedule a class (your instructor will be notified); send a message directly to your instructor; manage your profile and update your email or phone number; and see or redeem any class credits in your account. You don't need to create a separate account or remember a password — just use the link sent to your email.

Yes — set a max capacity when creating or editing a class. Once it's full, a waitlist opens and, as seats free up, we invite the next person in line to claim the spot. You can also promote people from the waitlist yourself at any time.
Read the full guide: Manage waitlists for full classesOpen the class, click Reschedule (or change status to Cancelled), and pick how to handle paid attendees — cash refund, class credit, or both. Classy Studio emails and texts everyone, updates reminders and synced calendars, and tracks responses on the class page.

Yes — use the Bulk Messages feature in the Marketing tab. You can send an email, an SMS, or both, to all your customers or a filtered audience (for example, everyone who attended a specific class in the last 90 days). Every send respects opt-outs automatically: emails include a one-click unsubscribe link and SMS recipients can reply STOP at any time.

Yes — card payments are handled by Stripe, a PCI-compliant payment processor, and your card details are encrypted in transit. We never see or store your full card number on our servers.
We accept all major credit and debit cards including Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover. Apple Pay and Google Pay also work at checkout where supported by the attendee's device and browser.
Connect your bank account through Stripe in the Payments section of your dashboard. Once connected, you can price classes and accept card payments automatically.

On the Free plan the 2.9% fee carries a minimum ($1.00 for class registrations; $0.30 for add-on purchases). Free transactions aren't charged. You can optionally pass this fee to your customers at checkout instead of paying it yourself. Stripe's standard payment processing fees (~2.9% + 30¢) are separate and deducted by Stripe.
Yes — discount codes are included on every plan (Free, Pro, and Business). Create percentage or fixed-amount codes from the Marketing tab, restrict them to specific classes, and set expirations or usage limits.

Make sure your class is marked as 'Active'. Inactive classes won't appear on public signup pages. Also check that the class date hasn't passed.
Yes — custom branding (your colors, logo, and storefront styling) is included on the Pro and Business plans, and the Business plan additionally removes Classy Studio branding from your public pages. You can manage all of this from Settings in your dashboard.

Here's a quick breakdown by plan: • Free — Email confirmations and reminders are included. Every class you create automatically sends a booking confirmation and pre-class reminder to attendees at no extra cost. • Pro — Adds SMS reminders. Attendees who provide a phone number at signup receive text message reminders in addition to email. • Business — Adds automated message sequences and the abandoned-checkout dashboard. Message sequences let you set up drip-style follow-ups, review requests, and re-engagement messages triggered by signup, attendance, or a custom schedule. The abandoned-checkout dashboard shows you who started the booking flow but didn't finish, so you can follow up manually or via a sequence. All plans include messaging so you can always reach attendees directly.
First check that reminders are enabled for the class — open the class, go to Settings, and confirm the reminder toggles are on. For email, check that your Resend sending domain is verified under Settings › Notifications. For SMS, make sure you're on the Pro plan or higher (SMS reminders are not available on the Free plan) and that the attendee's phone number was captured at signup. If everything looks correct and reminders still aren't sending, contact our support team with the class name and date.
Go to Settings › Integrations and click Connect Google Calendar. You'll be taken to Google's sign-in flow to authorize access. Once connected, any class you create or reschedule will automatically appear on your Google Calendar, and attendees who sync their own calendars will see updates in real time. You can disconnect at any time from the same Integrations page.
Open any class from your dashboard and look for the Embed option in the Share menu. Copy the iframe snippet and paste it into your website's HTML. The embedded widget loads your live class details — title, date, price, and a Book button — and stays in sync automatically. Embedding works on any website that allows custom HTML, including Squarespace, Wix, and WordPress.
Removing Classy Studio branding is a Business plan feature. Once you're on Business, go to Settings › Public Page and toggle off "Show Classy Studio branding." Your storefront, class pages, and confirmation emails will no longer display the Classy Studio badge or footer. Custom colors, logo, and fonts (available on Pro and above) are separate and stay active on all paid plans.
A payout that stays pending longer than expected usually means Stripe needs more information to verify your account. Log in to your Stripe dashboard and check for any outstanding verification requests or action items under the Payouts section. Common causes include a missing tax ID, an unverified bank account, or a Stripe-triggered identity check. Once you complete any outstanding steps, payouts typically resume within 1–2 business days. If the issue persists, contact Stripe support directly — they have access to your account details.
