Connect Mailchimp, Kit, Beehiiv, or MailerLite

Classy handles your transactional emails — booking confirmations, reminders, and reschedule notices. For broadcast newsletters, most instructors prefer a dedicated tool like Mailchimp, Kit, or Beehiiv. Connecting the two means the subscriber list you build through Classy (via your public page subscribe form and the newsletter opt-in at checkout) flows directly into your newsletter tool. No more manual CSV exports. No more out-of-sync lists.

Connect your newsletter tool

  1. 1Open Settings from your dashboard and choose the Newsletter tab.
  2. 2Click Connect next to the tool you use: Mailchimp, Kit (formerly ConvertKit), Beehiiv, or MailerLite.
  3. 3Authorise the connection — you'll be redirected to your newsletter tool's login or API key screen and returned automatically.
  4. 4Once connected, choose the audience or list inside your newsletter tool where Classy subscribers should land.
  5. 5Save. New subscribers added in Classy — through your public page subscribe form or the class signup opt-in — sync to the chosen list within a few minutes.

What syncs and what doesn't

  1. 1New subscribers: anyone who subscribes through your Classy public page or ticks the newsletter opt-in at class checkout is synced to your newsletter tool automatically.
  2. 2Unsubscribes: if a contact unsubscribes in Classy (via any email's unsubscribe link), they're suppressed from future Classy broadcasts — but the unsubscribe is not currently pushed back to your external tool. Manage suppressions in both places if accuracy matters.
  3. 3Existing contacts: when you first connect, Classy can push your full existing subscriber list to your newsletter tool in a one-time import — tick the option during setup if you want this.

Disconnect a newsletter integration

  1. 1Open Settings › Newsletter and click Disconnect next to the active integration.
  2. 2The sync stops immediately. No existing data in your newsletter tool is deleted — the disconnect only stops new contacts flowing through.
  3. 3You can reconnect at any time by repeating the connect steps above.

Which tool should I use

  • Mailchimp: the most widely used, good all-rounder with a free tier up to 500 contacts. Best if you already have an account.
  • Kit (formerly ConvertKit): built for creators. Excellent automation and tagging — a good upgrade if you outgrow Mailchimp's automation tools.
  • Beehiiv: newsletter-first, with a clean editor and built-in referral tools. Newer but growing fast among class creators and community builders.
  • MailerLite: simple, affordable, and solid deliverability. A good pick if you want something straightforward without the complexity of Mailchimp's newer interface.
