Payments

Accept payments with Square

Just need the quick answer?

See the short version in the FAQ

If Square already runs your point of sale, you can keep it as your payment processor here too. Connect once, and class payments settle into the same Square account as your in-person sales — same payouts, same reporting, no second processor to reconcile at the end of the month.

Connect your Square account

  1. 1Open Settings from your dashboard and choose the Integrations tab.
  2. 2Find the payment processing section and click Connect Square.
  3. 3Sign in to Square and approve the permissions. You're sent to Square's secure authorization page and returned automatically when you're done.
  4. 4Back in Settings, Square shows as connected. Set it as your active processor to route new checkouts through Square.
  5. 5From then on, new bookings on your public page are charged through your Square account.

Refund a Square payment

  1. 1Open the class and click the attendee in the Attendees list, or find the payment on your Payments dashboard.
  2. 2Click Refund and choose a full or partial amount — you can also refund specific line items like an add-on.
  3. 3Confirm. We send the refund to Square and the money returns to the card the attendee paid with.
  4. 4The refund is recorded on the payment and the attendee is notified automatically — the flow is identical to a Stripe refund.

How Square checkout differs from Stripe

  • With Stripe, the card form is embedded right in your booking page. With Square, attendees are redirected to a secure Square-hosted payment page to pay.
  • After paying, they're returned straight to your booking confirmation — the spot is confirmed the moment they land back.
  • Attendees don't need a Square account, and the rest of checkout — discount codes, sign-up questions, confirmations — works exactly the same.

Payouts, reporting, and disputes

  • Square deposits your earnings on the schedule set in your Square account — for most sellers, as soon as the next business day.
  • Square transactions appear on your Payments dashboard alongside any Stripe history, so your revenue reporting stays in one place.
  • Refunds always go back through the processor that took the payment, even if you've switched processors since.
  • Disputes on Square payments show up on your Disputes page, but the evidence itself is submitted in your Square Dashboard — we link you straight there.
