Sell and redeem gift cards
Gift cards let your biggest fans share your classes with the people they love. Someone buys a gift card, shares the code, and the recipient redeems it at checkout like a coupon. Any unused balance rolls over automatically, so nothing is ever wasted. It's one of the easiest ways to bring brand-new people into your studio.
Sell a gift card
- Open Marketing from your dashboard and choose Gift cards.
- Click Create gift card and set the value (a fixed amount or let the buyer choose).
- Add an optional expiration date, then save. The gift card is immediately available for purchase on your public page.
- Buyers receive a unique code by email that they can forward or print for the recipient.
How recipients redeem a gift card
- At checkout, the attendee enters their gift card code in the Gift card field.
- If the card covers the full amount, the booking completes with no further payment.
- If the card only covers part of the total, the attendee pays the remainder with a card. The remaining gift card balance is saved automatically for next time.
How balances and partial payments work
- A gift card can be used across multiple bookings until the balance runs out.
- If a class costs more than the remaining balance, the attendee pays the difference with a credit or debit card.
- If a booking paid with a gift card is refunded, the value is restored to the original gift card — not returned as cash.
- Gift cards are tied to your account. They can only be redeemed for your classes, not any other instructor's.
Smart ways to use gift cards
- Promote gift cards in the weeks before holidays — they make great last-minute presents.
- Offer a gift card as a prize in a social media giveaway to grow your following and fill future classes.
- Use gift cards as goodwill gestures for attendees whose class was cancelled or who had a poor experience.
